50-32

The Indians are now 50-32, and 2 games ahead of Detroit for first place. The Tribe won 7 out of 8 in this past home stand, taking 3 of 4 from Oakland and sweeping 4 from Tampa Bay. On Tuesday night the Indians rallied from a 2 run 9th inning deficit to score 5 runs and beat the A's 10-7 on Kelly Shoppach's 3 run walk off homer. Then on Friday night, Ben Fransisco made his first major league start, in which he got his first major league hit, and then his first home run....which just happened to be a walk off homer in the 9th to beat the D Rays 2-1.
On Saturday night I was at the game and had a great time....Sizemore had 3 hits and 3 RBIs on his bobble head night, and CC Sabathia became the first pitcher in the majors this year to win 12 games as the Tribe won 8-6. And today, Grady Sizemore hit his 2nd career grand slam to cap the Tribe's 7 run 8th as they beat Tampa 10-2 to complete the 4 game sweep.
It has been a great week for Indians baseball, in fact a great season so far as well.
