Eastern Conference Champions!!!!!

The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the eastern Conference Championship. After trailing the Pistons 0-2 in the series, the Cavs won 4 stright to win the series 4-2.
.
The deciding game 6 was on Saturday night, and I was at the Indians game next door, which was a bit of a dissapointment, as the Tribe lost to Detroit 9-5. There were a lot of Detroit fans at the game, and a lot of them were talking shit after the Tigers won, but their joy was short lived. As the Jake emptied out, thousands of people joined the allready several thousand people who were standing outside of Quicken Loans Arena watching the game on the big screens that had been st up between the Jake and the Q. As the 3rd quarter ended my father, my nest friend and I made our way through the crowd. We decided against staying right there for the rest of the game, reasons ranging from how late it already was (I had to work the next day), the possibility of a riot breaking out, the thought of the wait to get on an RTA train, and my tendency to get really nervous and pissed off during games. As we headed back to Tower City, we actually passed through a corner of the Q to get to the "walkway to the gateway", so I can now claim I was in the building the night they clinched the conference title. The ride on the RTA train was great, as people with cell phones and radios kept the whole train updated on the Cavs game, and a huge roar of cheering erupted when the score went final. There were also a few Detroit fans on our train, and the look on their faces was priceless. I can only imagine what it was like for those several thousand Detroit fans who were downtown when the Cavs blew away the Pistons in the 4th quarter.
.
LeBron James had 20 points and 14 rebounds in the game, but the greatest performance came from Daniel "Boobie" Gibson, who scored 31 points including a slew of 3's in the 4th that were the daggers straight through the hearts of the Pistons. The Cavs outscored Detroit 31-16 in the 4th quarter to win 98-82.
The Cavaliers will play the Spurs on Thursday night in San Antonio in game 1 of the NBA Finals.
